The Iranian Permanent Mission to the United Nations has called for an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council in response to the Israeli airstrikes that targeted several Iranian regions, according to the Iranian Tansim News Agency.

In an official letter to the President of the UN Security Council, the mission called on the Security Council to take decisive action in response to these criminal and provocative attacks by the Israeli regime.
