Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, met with Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, on the sidelines of the Oslo Forum. They discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Egypt and Norway and addressed regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Minister Abdel Aty praised the positive developments in relations between Egypt and Norway, both politically and economically, noting the meetings and contacts that took place between His Excellency the President of the Republic and the Norwegian Prime Minister, most recently the President's visit to Norway in December 2024.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs welcomed economic cooperation between the two countries, especially in the field of renewable energy, expressing his aspiration to complete the implementation of the Norwegian company Scatec's projects in Egypt and to begin implementing new projects that will contribute to increasing Norwegian investments in Egypt.
