Agence France-Presse reported on Thursday that an Air India plane crashed near Ahmedabad Airport in the northwestern Indian state of Gujarat, according to a breaking news report by Extra News.

India TV reported on Thursday that the ill-fated plane was en route from Ahmedabad to London, with 133 passengers on board.

At least 12 ambulances were dispatched, and police rerouted traffic to avoid the crash site.
