President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi ratified Law No. 85 of 2025 amending some provisions of the House of Representatives Law issued by Law No. 46 of 2014 and Law No. 174 of 2020 regarding the division of House of Representatives electoral districts.

The amendment includes dividing the Arab Republic of Egypt into a number of districts designated for individual-seat elections and (4) districts designated for list-seat elections. Two of these districts are allocated (40) seats each, while the other two districts are allocated (102) seats each. A special law shall determine the scope and components of each electoral district and the number of seats allocated to each governorate.
