Earthquake of 6.4 magnitude, no loss of life or property reported

The National Seismic Monitoring Network stations, affiliated with the National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics, issued a statement a short while ago regarding the earthquake felt by residents of Egypt.

The statement stated that the network's stations recorded an earthquake on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, 421 kilometers north of Marsa Matrouh at 1:51 a.m. local time, with a magnitude of 6.4 on the Richter scale, at latitude 35.12 north, longitude 27.0 east, and a depth of 76 km.

The statement continued: The institute received information indicating that the earthquake was felt without any loss of life or property reported.
