US President Donald Trump hinted on Sunday at the possibility of imminent progress in peace talks between Russia and Ukraine.

"A potentially great day for Russia and Ukraine," Trump said in a post on Truth Social. "Think of the hundreds of thousands of lives that will be saved when the ongoing bloodshed is stopped. It will be a new and better world."
