The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities organized a scientific lecture by Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass at Columbia University in Amman, entitled: "The Pyramids and Tutankhamun: Recent Discoveries."

The event was attended by Princess Dana Firas, President of the Petra National Trust and UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador for Cultural Heritage; Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Lina Annab; Chairman of the Senate Tourism and Antiquities Committee, Senator Michel Nazzal; Chairman of the Parliamentary Tourism and Antiquities Committee, Representative Wasfi Haddad; and Egyptian Ambassador to Amman, Mohamed Samir.
