The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) called for the urgent need to save all children in the Gaza Strip, which is being subjected to an ongoing Israeli war of extermination. It stressed the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire, according to the Palestinian WAFA News Agency.

“Since the outbreak of the war in Gaza, some 1.9 million people, including thousands of children, have been subjected to repeated forced displacement amidst bombardment, fear, and loss,” the agency said on its X platform on the occasion of Palestinian Child Day. “The collapse of the ceasefire has triggered a new wave of displacement affecting more than 142,000 people between March 18 and 23 alone. All children need a ceasefire now,” it said.
