The Prince Muhammad Ali Palace Museum in Manial organized a temporary archaeological exhibition today titled "Read," highlighting the history of Islamic art by displaying a collection of Islamic art masterpieces from the museum's distinguished collection.
Amal Siddiq, Director General of the Manial Palace Museum, explained that the exhibition includes 12 pieces, including five bound Qur'ans decorated with floral motifs, gilding, coloring, or engraving on the leather covers and handwritten, in addition to five colored prayer beads and two silver incense burners. The scripts used to write the Qur'ans are Ayyub Abu al-Arif, Yusuf, known as Hafiz al-Quran, Naskh, Thuluth, Khalil Ibrahim al-Nassib, and a Qur'an written by Sayyid Muhammad Salih al-Rashidi, son of al-Hafiz Uthman, a student of the late Ali al-Wasifi.
