French President Emmanuel Macron announced the provision of large financial aid to Ukraine amounting to billions of euros, indicating that the decision could be taken during the upcoming European Union summit.

He said in an interview with the newspaper "La Tribune": "The summit on March 6 is very important. The amount of funding is likely to reach hundreds of billions of euros."

The French president indicated that the goal of this meeting is to strengthen the European Union's support for Kiev.
