President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that Egypt is always striving for construction, development and reconstruction.
This came during the attendance of President El-Sisi and his Cypriot counterpart "Nikos Christodoulides" at the opening of the activities of the eighth Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition "EGYPS 2025" under the slogan "Building a safe and sustainable future for energy".
The executive plan agreement for cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia in the field of energy efficiency was also signed.
In his speech at the conference, Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, Saudi Minister of Energy, explained that the electrical interconnection project between Egypt and Saudi Arabia is the largest of its kind in the region, and aims to exchange three gigawatts of electrical energy upon completion of its phases next year, which contributes to supporting the capabilities of the energy sector in the two countries in facing demand and pressures of electrical loads by taking advantage of surplus production, and stressed: "We consider ourselves an integral part of the homeland in Egypt, just as we consider you an integral part of the homeland in the Kingdom." He added: "Our destiny is one.. Our stability is shared.. and our development is integrated." The Saudi Minister of Energy referred to the extent of close cooperation between the two countries in this field and its rapid development.
