Cairo hosts, today, Wednesday, a tripartite summit between Egypt, Greece and Cyprus, which brings together President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, his Cypriot counterpart Nikos Christodoulides, and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The summit is scheduled to address developments in the region, especially the files of the war in the Gaza Strip, developments in Syria, and crises in Libya, Sudan and Somalia. On the economic level, the meeting aims to enhance cooperation in the field of energy, through the electrical connection between Egypt and Greece and renewable energy and green hydrogen projects, in addition to discussing a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
The Egyptian-Greek-Cypriot Economic Forum will be held on the sidelines of the summit, with the participation of ministers and representatives of some companies from the three countries, more than 70 Cypriot and Greek companies and 200 Egyptian companies.
