Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, awarded Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment, the Zayed II Medal of the "First Class", for her distinguished role and contribution to the Egyptian efforts to facilitate the negotiation process in the climate financing file at COP28, headed by the United Arab Emirates.

This came after the success of the Climate Summit 28, in which Egypt contributed clearly through the negotiations of the African Group and the tireless efforts to activate the Financing and Damage Fund concerned with providing appropriate financing to developing countries affected by the effects of climate change
