UN: 109-truck aid convoy heading to Gaza subjected to "worst" looting

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric announced that a 109-truck humanitarian aid convoy heading to the Gaza Strip was subjected to looting, with only 11 trucks reaching its designated warehouse in the Strip, the UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric announced.

Dujarric said that "11 trucks carrying food supplies from the World Food Programme and UNRWA were able to reach the warehouse in the Strip via the Kerem Shalom crossing, after the looting of the 109-truck humanitarian aid convoy was subjected to."

He explained that the looting "results in severe damage to the trucks and, in some cases, a complete loss of the goods," noting that this incident was the worst "in terms of the volume" of aid lost.
