President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi issued a Republican Decree appointing Major General Hassan Mahmoud Rashad as Head of General Intelligence; and he took the legal oath before the President.

Major General Hassan Mahmoud Rashad graduated from the Military Technical College with the rank of First Lieutenant in 1990; and he rose through the military ranks to the rank of Deputy General Intelligence; then a presidential decree was issued appointing him as Head of General Intelligence on October 16, 2024.
