President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received US Secretary of State "Anthony Blinken" and his accompanying delegation today, Wednesday, in the presence of Dr. Badr Abdel Aati, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs, Minister Abbas Kamel, Head of the General Intelligence Service, in addition to the US Ambassador to Cairo "Hiro Mustafa Garg".

It was agreed to intensify joint efforts between Egypt and the United States with the aim of calming and de-escalating the situation, in a manner that ensures the restoration of regional peace and security.

The official spokesman added that the meeting also touched on efforts to develop bilateral relations, as mutual keenness to resume the strategic dialogue was confirmed, and welcoming its convening during the current visit of the US Secretary of State to Egypt, in a manner that achieves the common interests of the two countries.
