Ambassador Hesham El-Makod, Egypt's Ambassador to Kinshasa, visited the headquarters of the Egyptian battalion operating under the umbrella of the United Nations Stabilization Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), accompanied by members of the embassy in Kinshasa, following the replacement and replacement of the previous and current battalions.

Ambassador Hesham El-Makod expressed, in a statement, his happiness and appreciation for the important role played by the battalion in light of the tasks assigned to it within the framework of the MONUSCO mandate.

He praised the presence of the female element in the Egyptian battalion due to the essential role played by women, through their active participation in peacekeeping missions, in achieving international peace and security.

The Ambassador also stressed the respect and appreciation that the members of the Egyptian battalion enjoy from the Congolese government and people, wishing them every success during their stay in Kinshasa.
