The first comment on Hezbollah's attacks on Israeli military bases was issued by Iran, in response to the killing of one of its leaders, Fouad Shukr.

The Iranian Parliament Speaker, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, wrote on Sunday evening via the "X" platform: "The Lebanese Hezbollah succeeded in targeting sensitive military and media facilities of the Zionist entity."

Qalibaaf continued, considering that "the entity today suffered a defeat equivalent to its defeat in the 2006 war, and they cannot hide this failure." The Secretary-General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, announced "there is no current intention to escalate, after yesterday's attack that targeted Israel."
