Abdel Latif Moneeb defeated the Bulgarian champion 6-4 and qualified for the bronze medal match in wrestling 130 kg.

Moneeb previously participated in the Tokyo Olympics, and was eliminated from it in the quarter-finals, and also participated in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and was eliminated in the round of 32.

Egypt has achieved one medal in the Paris 2024 Olympics, so far, through Mohamed El-Sayed in fencing.
