The Spokesman for the Presidency said the meeting
followed-up on the results of the recent visit of the Egyptian ministerial
delegation to Tanzania, as well as the status of the national projects
implemented the Ministry of Housing across the country.
Dr. El-Gazzar presented the results of the recent visit of
the Egyptian ministerial delegation to Tanzania to participate in the
celebration of the first filling of the Julius Nyerere Hydropower Station,
implemented by the Egyptian consortium of the Arab Contractors and Elsewedy
Electric companies. The dam is considered the largest development project to be
implemented across Tanzania and will contribute to generating twice the volume
of energy currently available in the country, with a storage capacity of
approximately 34 billion m3 and a capacity of 2115 MW.
The meeting also reviewed the status of projects in the New
Administrative Capital, particularly the residential neighborhoods, the
district of finance and business, in addition to the coordination of squares
and axes and work in the Green River area.
