Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry received a phone call from Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong.
Ambassador Ahmed Abu Zeid, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that the call dealt with developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts aimed at an immediate ceasefire, compliance with the relevant Security Council resolutions, and the safe and sustainable flow of humanitarian aid.
