The US National Security Team briefed President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris on "developments in the Middle East" today, Thursday, according to Cairo News.

The White House announced, according to a statement, that this briefing comes amid major concerns about an Iranian retaliatory strike against Israel.

The statement indicated that the US President and his Vice President were briefed in the White House Operations Room on "US military efforts to support the defense of Israel", "ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce regional tensions", and reaching an agreement on detainees and a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
